TONY BLAY R.I.P

Beaconsfield SYCOB FC are very sad to announce the death of highly respected Match Day Secretary Tony Blay.

As well as raising funds for the club in a commercial role, Tony also provided the reports for the Non League Paper and was a stalwart of the football scene in Berks & Bucks. For over thirty years he was Secretary of Sunday side Pinkneys Green FC and he also spent many years as Match Day Secretary at Windsor & Eton FC before joining The Rams. If that wasn't enough he was, since 1981,  also on the Management Committee of the Thames Valley Sunday League and was awarded the Lionel Gibbs Memorial Certificate for services to Berks & Bucks Football. Despite his illness Tony always retained a keen sense of humour and was not slow to voice his opinion on how well the team were performing.

Outside of football Tony was Chairman of the Maidenhead Crib League.

Our thoughts go out to his wife Sylvia.

He will be much missed by all at Holloways Park and Beaconsfield SYCOB is a sadder place for his passing.
