Beaconsfield were dealt a late blow, as Real Bedford won 2-1 at Holloways Park, despite an outstanding performance from all in a red shirt.
After an opening 15 minutes where both teams tried to get on the front foot, Beaconsfield were denied the lead by a fine save from the Real Bedord goalkeeper, who tipped Akiel Raffie's excellent freekick away, which had looked destined for the top corner. As the minutes ticked by in the first half, both teams had chances to take the lead, but Beaconsfield looked the more likely, they were again denied by a good save, this time as Eli Grant dribbled his way past defenders before striking the ball well. Half time saw the game delicately balanced at 0-0.

A moment of brilliance from Real Bedford’s Josh Setchell who curled an effort across the face of goal, going in via a deflection off the far post.
Beaconsfield made changes as they looked to find a way back into the game. In the 77th minute they looked to have found the goal that would have rewarded them with a well-deserved point when in form striker Manu Oke – William drew them level, firing the ball home from close range after an excellent pass found him free on the edge of the 6-yard box.
Beaconsfield were dealt yet another cruel blow late on, with Real Bedford scoring the winner in the 86th minute courtesy of another goal from Real Bedford’s Josh Setchell, who blasted home to give the visitors all 3 points.
It was one of Beaconsfield's best performances of the season, which deserved at least a point. Beaconsfield will go again next Saturday when they face Kings Langley at Holloways Park.
