By Louise Walsh

Beaconsfield Town's men’s and women’s teams are back in action this weekend, with both sides seeking wins. The men’s team travel to Stotfold whilst the women’s team travel to Bognor Regis for a league cup tie.

Men’s preview: Rams look to build on Potters Bar draw ahead of trip to Stotfold

Beaconsfield travel to Stotfold on Saturday, looking to build on their recent draw with Potters Bar.

The Rams earned a hard-fought point against high-flying Potters Bar on Tuesday evening with Courie Coley scoring twice. The draw moved them up to 13th in the league with 16 points, demonstrating their recent improvement in form.

Stotfold sit seventh on 20 points ahead of the fixture against The Rams. They have been in promising form since the start of the season and have remained unbeaten in their last five fixtures.

In The Eagles last outing, they faced 20th placed Ware and drew 1-1. The Rams will be hoping to use this as momentum when they come up against Stotfold.

With The Eagles securing back-to-back promotions to reach Step Four football, this will be the first time the Rams have come up against them.

Despite Beaconsfield having three defeats in their last five fixtures, there have been many promises from their fixtures, including Tuesday’s performance. The Rams will hope to earn three points and close the gap on their opponents.

Women’s preview: Beaconsfield look to bounce back in League Cup

Beaconsfield women travel to Bognor Regis for a League Cup tie on Sunday following their 3-0 defeat against Oxford City last week.

Despite the heavy defeat against Oxford City, the Rams managed to frustrate the Hoops throughout the first half, but it was three second-half goals that secured Oxford City’s win. The Rams continue to occupy 12th place in the Premier Division.

The Rams turn their attention to cup action against lower league opposition, Division One South team, Bogner Regis.

The Rocks head into the fixture in positive spirits after securing a 2-1 victory against Saltdean United, placing them second in the league.

Despite Beaconsfield’s recent league disappointment, the cup tie represents an opportunity to secure a place in the next round of the competition and build crucial momentum that they can take back into their league fixtures.

Come on you Rams! ?
