Beaconsfield recorded their first away win of the season, and first clean sheet, with a 1-0 victory over Hadley.
The game was a close encounter in the opening stages, with neither side wanting to concede first. Both sides had half chances but nothing clear, until Beaconsfield won a corner in the 30th minute. The ball was put into the box, and Hadley failed to clear it as it bounced and fell to Blaaze Lawrence, who smashed it past Omer Ozer in the Hadley goal. Beaconsfield now had a lead to hold and did that with excellent defending, and a superb Eze Ifekoya save, to see them through to the interval.
The second half was cagey, with Beaconsfield holding their lead, and Hadley not being able to find a way past them. Beaconsfield had a chance to extend their lead with a good move ending with Freddie Ford firing over the bar. As the game approached its conclusion, another great save from Ifekoya in the Beaconsfield net was needed to keep his side in front and see them finish with a huge 3 points.
Beaconsfield return to action at Holloways Park on Tuesday facing local rivals Flackwell Heath at 7:45.
ROTM is Keeper Eze Ifekoya.
