Beaconsfield were ruthless in front of goal and strong in defence when needed, beating Biggleswade 3-0 at Holloways Park.

Beaconsfield took the lead in just four minutes. Courie Coley battled well to win the ball high up the pitch, before feeding it to Freddie Ford to cross an inch-perfect pass for Uthman Hassan to head in.

A good start for Beaconsfield turned into the perfect start when with only thirteen minutes played Giulio Marroni picked the ball up at least 25 yards from goal before firing a stunning effort into the back of the net to make it 2-0.

Beaconsfield, looking ruthless and well up for it, could have extended their lead again before fifteen minutes had been played when makeshift wing-back Alfie Anderson struck an effort from the edge of the box narrowly wide of the post. However, they did make it 3-0 in the thirty-seventh minute through Courie Coley, who brilliantly fired in the third after being set up by Freddie Ford’s cut back across goal.

A rare Biggleswade attack ended with Foden Northover’s strike being well cleared off the line by today’s captain Mack Miskin. The half time whistle came moments later with Beaconsfield well on top and 3-0 up.

The second half saw more of the same, frightening attacks from Beaconsfield as well as good pressing when out of possession. They could have scored again in the Sixty-eighth minute when a ball fell to Mohamed Gamal on the edge of the box, however, his effort went well over the bar.

Biggleswade had another rare chance as the game drew to a close with a free kick on the edge of the box, but Eze Ifekoya in the Beaconsfield net, who had little to do this afternoon, comfortably palmed the effort away.

Beaconsfield topped off a perfect afternoon by welcoming back centre-back Aaron White, who has missed six weeks through injury; he came off n to replace Dan Hill, who appeared to pick up a bit of a knock in the closing stages.

With the game almost at ninety, Biggleswade, having made all five subs, were reduced to ten men as Bradley Bell limped off with an injury.

Today's ROTM is Mo Gamel! Congrats Mo.

Beaconsfield return to action on Tuesday night, facing seventh-placed Welwyn Garden City at Holloways Park, kick off at 7:45pm.
