The Rams head to York Road this evening to face National League South side Maidenhead United for a tough test in the Berks & Bucks Cup, R2.

The two sides are separated by a short journey of just 20 minutes, setting the stage for a fiercely contested affair. However, there is a significant league gap between the sides, with the Rams sitting 5th in the Southern League Central Division, while the Magpies occupy 11th place in the National League South.

Beaconsfield head into the game on winning form after coming from behind to win their recent fixture 2-1 against Leverstock Green. The result will give the Rams confidence ahead of the tie as they look to maintain their form and progress into the next round of the cup.

The Magpies arrive in strong form after comfortably beating Chesham United 4-0. The National League side will be looking to bring this momentum into the fixture against Beaconsfield. The Bucks outfit are no strangers to higher-level opposition in this competition. Two years ago, we beat a strong Wycombe Wanderers side 4-3 at Holloways Park in a run to the Semi-Final, while last year we faced fellow National League South side Slough Town, this time falling to defeat.

With a spot in the next round of the FA County Cup up for grabs, the Rams will be eager to win and cause a cup upset for Maidenhead United.
