Rams fall short in Bucks derby

Poor second half costs Beaconsfield. By Arran White

Beaconsfield dominated the opening 15 minutes and it looked like it would be a comfortable game for them. They went one up in only the ninth minute when Zak Fraser-Grante went on a run into the box and cut the ball back for Jamie Davies to smash the ball home.

Beaconsfield created plenty of chances to extend the lead, but despite the fullbacks causing Aylesbury a lot of problems, they couldn’t quite find the finishing touch.
Into the second half and Beaconsfield came out far from the team that controlled the first half. Balls into the box caused issues for the Beaconsfield defence, and in the 71st minute, a ball in was met by Alex Peapell who unfortunately headed into his own net to level the game.

Despite Beaconsfield's pressure to retake the lead, it was Aylesbury who went ahead, a cross met by Remel Larwood who headed his side's informed. A moment later, Lawrood extended the Aylesbury lead, connecting onto a lofted pass and firing home despite Beaconsfield's protests for a foul in the build up.

Beaconsfield pulled a goal back in the 90th minute as Manu Oke-William headed home from a cross, but it was too late as Beaconsfield fell to Holloways Park.
