We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Welfare & Safeguarding Officer to support our football club.

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Welfare & Safeguarding Officer to support our football club and help ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all players.
This important role focuses on safeguarding the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults involved in the club.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as the club’s main point of contact for welfare and safeguarding matters
• Promote a safe and positive environment for all players and participants
• Ensure the club follows FA safeguarding policies and procedures
• Support coaches, volunteers, players, and parents with safeguarding guidance
• Manage and report any welfare or safeguarding concerns appropriately
• Help ensure volunteers have the correct safeguarding training and DBS checks

What We’re Looking For
• Someone approachable, responsible, and trustworthy
• A good communicator who can work with players, parents, and volunteers
• An understanding of safeguarding principles (training can be provided)
• A commitment to promoting player welfare and inclusion
