Eagles report - Lancey

Comfortabley the best performance of the season from my Eagles side.
A hard fought 2-1 victory in the first game was an absolute team performance, battled for each other to the very end! Goals from Ben and Jack ‘MJ’ Martini. An unbelievable Moonwalk celebration from Jack M was one of the funniest moments of the whole season!
The Second game was a lot more comfortable but only because we earned the right to pass the ball better than we ever have by tackling and an extremely high intensity!
2 Goals from Jack Jacobs and 1 goal from Tommy saw us to our second win.
The lads were so good in going to mention them all Individually.

Daniel P - an absolutely rock at the back, named himself ‘The Wall’

Jack J - Excellent forward runs from deep and 2 deserved goals

Jack M - An out and out number 9 always a threat in the last third, superb engine up front today!

Eagles report - Matt Akers

A fantastic morning in Tring for my Eagles team who won both matches and put on a brilliant display.

First game was an excellent 4-0 win. We dominated from start to finish and scored some lovely goals. Jasper, Daniel and Ibrahim x2 ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️. Jasper’s was the pick of them; Saatchi with a lovely ball through the opposition defence, Daniel first time cross and Jasper with a great finish into the corner. The passing, movement and pressing was brilliant all game.

2nd match really showed how the team have matured this season. We were strong all the way through, dominated the 50.50s and took our chances really well. Daniel with a lovely left foot curler into the bottom corner from the right hand side and Ibrahim with a piledriver from outside the box to make it 3-1. Daniel x2 and Ibrahim ⚽️⚽️⚽️.

It was great to see every player working so hard for each other, covering and doubling up in challenging positions. There was a real hunger from all the boys to want to win the ball and that really paid dividends with a number of tackles converting to goals.

Player of the Day was Joey today. He worked really hard, played well in all positions, including goalkeeper, and performed an excellent cartwheel after the game, much to the delight of the crowd! Well done Joey and all the team. ?
