New month, same result for the Buffalos as we secured all three points away to Loudwater United on Sunday. Both teams came flying out of the blocks but it was the home side who took an early lead, going 1-0 up inside the first few minutes. Fortunately, unlike many previous occasions, we kept our heads and found an equaliser in the 7th minute thanks to an elaborate Conor Stables back heel inside the penalty area!

The goal sent a wave of confidence through the Buffalos team and after 20 minutes of positive play, we soon had the lead. A goal straight out of the Marty-catalogue, Martin Filipov cut inside from the left flank and smashed one into the bottom corner to make it 2-1! Credit to Loudwater United though as they too showed a reaction and drew level not long after to make it all even come the half-time break.

The second half was a very cagey affair with little football being played from either team for the majority. George Michell hustled the Loudwater backline while Eraldo looked solid in defence but a goal scoring opportunity proved elusive. That was until the final five minutes of the match and a brilliant switch of play from Reuben released Conor Stables down the right wing who cut back for Martin Filipov to convert! Fin Hatton added a brave fourth just a couple of minutes later and the Buffalos had by this point done enough to secure the victory.

A tense game that could’ve gone either way but one that will no doubt be crucial come the end of the season!
