2014-15 SEASON REVIEW

Looking back at the 2014-15 season

SYCOB played 49 games in total. Of the 46 players to don a Rams shirt during the season, Captain Lee Togwell made the most appearances, 47, closely followed by Ollie Jones who made 40 starts plus seven from the subs bench. Other regular performers were Alex Murray (44) and Tom Gant (41 plus 3 subs) as well as keeper Sam Bunting who played 40 times. In contrast, Eamon Orfally, Dean McDonnell and Richard Worrell all made a solitary appearance as a substitute.

League wise SYCOB finished in 20th place on 40 points. Their eight wins saw 'doubles' over North Greenford United and Hanwell Town whilst the 16 draws were the highest in the Evo Stik Southern Division One Central.

The best attendance at Holloways Park was the 148 who saw the FA Cup victory over Didcot Town whilst the lowest was the 49 hardy souls who witnessed the Red Insure Cup loss to Burnham. Average attendance was 86 placing SYCOB 19th out of 22 crowd wise.

In the FA Cup, The Rams scored impressive victories over Didcot Town (5-1) and Godalming Town (2-1) before losing to Greenwich Borough (1-3) at the Second Round Qualifying Stage.

In the FA Trophy SYCOB crashed out at the Preliminary Round stage with a 4-0 home defeat to Faversham Town.

The Red Insure Cup saw Burnham leave Holloways Park with a 4-1 victory whilst the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup saw SYCOB leave Chesham United on the wrong end of a 4-0 score line.

Come On You Rams!
