FIVE GOALS AND FIVE UNBEATEN FOR RAMPANT SYCOB!

BEACONSFIELD TOWN FC 5 NORTH GREENFORD UNITED 0

Beaconsfield extended their unbeaten run to five games with a convincing win over strugglers North Greenford United at a windy Holloways Park.

The Blues had a mix up in defence on five minutes and Ash Artwell made the most of it to nip in and slot the ball past young Greenford keeper Lewis Todd. Ten minutes later Sam Deadfield forced Todd into a good save as The Rams took control of the early proceedings with North Greenford not creating an attack of any note until the 31st minute when Charlie Mitchell made space to send a curling shot just inches wide of Sam Bunting's post.

Five minutes before half time Sam Deadfield extended Beaconsfield's lead when he rode a couple of hefty challenges to turn in the area and shoot past Todd.

The second period was only two minutes old when The Rams were awarded a penalty after Lee Togwell was judged to have been fouled in the area, a decision hotly disputed by all of a Greenford leaning. Aaron Berry stepped up to calmly chalk up his thirteenth of the season. He nearly got number14 ten minutes later when he turned quickly and hit a shot on the volley that Todd did well to save.

Todd also proved the equal to a fine strike by Togwell on 65 minutes but ten minutes later a miscue by Togs fell very kindly for Berry to put Beaconsfield four goals up.

Sub Callum Mapley nearly marked his home debut with a goal but his header from a Rams corner went just over the bar. Another Rams corner on 87 minutes found Aaron Minhas in space and the busy midfielder sent a shot flying into Todd's net. Aaron Berry had a couple of chances to claim his hat-trick, in particular a last minute chip, and North Greenford can be grateful for young Todd in keeping the score-line respectable.

In windy conditions Beaconsfield played some fine one touch flowing football and every member of the side had a decent game. Only two of the 17 man squad were over 20 years of age and the team spirit amongst them is a real plus. Long may it continue.
