RAMS BACK TO BEST TO BATTER KIDLINGTON

KIDLINGTON 0 BEACONSFIELD TOWN FC 5

Well that certainly was a 48 hour emotional roller coaster! From down in the dumps at the manor of the defeat to Bedford on the Saturday to away day delight at Kidlington on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday, The Rams certainly know how to put their supporters through it!

Beaconsfield set about their hosts from the off, Nathan Minhas sending a shot cum cross along the Kidlington goal line on two minutes that only needed the merest of touches to poke it home. Nathan then saw a great shot saved by Sam Warrell on 12 minutes as did Ollie McCoy thirty seconds later.

The threatened break through came on 15 minutes when a Jack McKnight shot cannoned off the bar and Ollie McCoy reacted quickest to slot home. Four minutes later McCoy sent another effort just wide but ten minutes after that Nathan Minhas hit an early contender for Goal Of The Season when he sent a screamer from thirty yards that Warrell probably should have done better with.

Charlie Losasso got on the score-sheet on 33 minutes after a lovely team move and on 44 minutes he turned provider after chasing down a lost cause ball and pulling it back to set up Nathan Minhas to fire home for Number 4.

The second period was never going to live up to the blitzkrieg of the first 45 but The Rams really should have been five up on 50 minutes when a great run by Matthew Peake-Pijen set up Losasso who somehow blazed wide. However, if this was a bad miss it was bettered by one from Josh Dillon who somehow hit the bar from all of two inches on 63 minutes!

The fifth goal eventually came on 72 minutes when a good run from Ryan Hill set up Nathan Minhas to toe poke home for his hat-trick.

After that Beaconsfield took their foot off the gas and Kidlington went close on a couple of occasions to registering a consolation. A fine 90th minute run by Spencer Maw should have resulted in a sixth for Beaconsfield but the final pass was over played and the chance
went begging.

Nathan Minhas will (rightly) grab the headlines but this was a great TEAM performance from a reshuffled Beaconsfield side. Lets hope it continues in our next trip to Oxfordshire, on Saturday in the FA Cup tie at Wantage Town.
