RAMS BACK TO WINNING WAYS!

UXBRIDGE 1 BEACONSFIELD TOWN FC 3

Beaconsfield's run of games without a win finally came to an end with a deserved victory over neighbours Uxbridge.

The Rams took the lead on five minutes when Charlie Losasso slotted home after Reds keeper Paul McCarthy had saved superbly from an effort by Callum Bunting. The lead didn't last long, however, as the lively Abobaker Eisa left the Beaconsfield defence for dead in the 13th minute and pulled the ball back for Wayne Carter to head home after Sam Bunting had parried his initial attempt.

Beaconsfield responded almost immediately as Ryan Hill went on a run that culminated with a superb curling effort past the outstretched arm of McCarthy. Beaconsfield then went 3-1 up on 19 minutes when a determined run down the left wing by Ryan Haugh saw the ball pulled back to Losasso to smash home his second of the game.

Sam Bunting pushed an Eisa effort onto the post on twenty minutes whilst Haugh cleared another Uxbridge attempt off the line on the half hour mark. Carter should have pulled one back just before half time after some good build up play by The Reds but he somehow managed to scoop his effort over the bar from five yards.

The very first minute of the second period saw a Haugh cross crash back off the Uxbridge post and Losasso's follow up was scrambled off the line. On 51 minutes Losasso set up Ryan Hill but his effort flew across McCarthy's goal and the Uxbridge veteran, in the 69th minute, then made a fantastic double save from efforts by Callum Bunting and Losasso though sixty seconds later Bunting almost extended The Rams lead but his effort hit the post.

The final five minutes saw a frantic effort by Uxbridge to reduce the arrears - Carter had an effort hacked off The Rams line and then Sam Bunting made a good save from an Eisa effort but The Rams stood firm and the relief at hearing the final whistle was plain for all to see and hear!

Much tougher opposition than Uxbridge lies ahead for Beaconsfield over the next few weeks but hopefully this result will go some way to boosting their confidence and they'll start enjoying that winning feeling again.
