RAMS EARLY STRIKES SINK FLEET

BEACONSFIELD TOWN FC 3 FLEET TOWN 0

Beaconsfield chalked up their second home win of the week with an impressive display against an under strength Fleet Town side.

The Rams should have scored inside thirty seconds when a Charlie Losasso effort was cleared off the line. Ninety seconds later, however, Losasso did open the scoring as he struck a well placed shot past Ryan Pryce in the Fleet goal.

On eight minutes Aaron Berry chipped an effort over the bar but five minutes later Aaron Minhas doubled The Rams lead when he turned in the area and fired past Pryce.

The Fleet keeper then made good saves from Berry and Minhas whilst Omari Patrick had a decent run ended by a wild shot on 22 minutes. Omari did, however, set up Losasso on 31 minutes but the normally reliable No.10 slotted his effort wide.

Just before half time Omari should have scored but shot wide when well placed and though The Rams went in two up at the break if they'd scored five it would have been a fairer reflection on the play.

The second half saw nothing of note for the first quarter of an hour until, on 62 minutes, Minhas shot just wide after being well set up by sub Jack Read. A minute later Read saw an effort save by Pryce and the same player was again denied by The Blues No.1 on 73 minutes.

Fleet should have scored on 75 minutes when sub Daryl Phillips shot inches wide when it looked easier to score. Two minutes later The Rams were indebted to keeper Brendon Hazlett who kept out a good effort by Ben White.

As home supporters nerves started to jangle about a possible Fleet revival Jack Read scored goal No.3 when he shot past Price in the 84th minute and The Rams could celebrate a second home win on the trot.

With a bit more of a 'clinical eye' in front of goal Beaconsfield could have been home and dry by half-time. Tougher challenges than Fleet are waiting to come The Rams way but for now let's be grateful for three well deserved points.
