Beaconsfield and Kempston played out an evenly contested game in the baking sun at Holloways Park, a draw a fair result in the end for both sides.

The game took a while to get going, the first strike of note coming on the quarter hour mark from The Rams Spencer Maw. A minute later Beaconsfield stopper Jake Soutter pulled off a magnificent save to deny Kempston the lead. Sixty seconds after that Ollie McCoy went on a decent run but his shot was well wide.

The Walnuts Sam Johnson and Stacey Field both had efforts in the first half as did The Rams captain Aaron Minhas who's shot was well saved by Martin Conway.

The 51st minute saw Kempston's Jermaine Ivy scoop the ball over the bar from three yards following an initial save by Soutter and The Rams keeper was well placed to deny Field ten minutes later. However he was powerless to stop Harlem Sambu putting the visitors a goal up on 68 minutes as the substitute ran through some weak tackles to curl the ball home.

McCoy had a decent effort thwarted by Conway on 70 minutes but three minutes later The Rams were level as a perfect cross by Ryan Hill fell to Nathan Minhas who finished with some style.

That was the last of the real action of note until the very 90th minute when McCoy was bundled over in the area - looked a sure fire penalty to this observer but Ref David Nicholson saw otherwise and waved play on.
