After a four-game unbeaten run to start their tenure Neil Baker and Jon Underwood are looking forward to their first home outing as The Rams welcome Yate Town, who like Last Saturdays opponents Hartley Wintney, find themselves scrapping for every point at the wrong end of the table.
Neil shared his thoughts and team news with us on the eve of the game which also sees the club reward supporters with a free pint or equivalent beverage as a thank-you for their continued support,
" After four tough away games we can finally look forward to a home match against a Yate Town team that will be fighting for every point possible in their battle against the drop.
Three away wins in the four games has doubled the away victories for the season in the league but what has been more pleasing is the back-to-back clean sheets that we have kept this week.
With a small squad we will feel any injury and unavailability, and unfortunately, we will again miss Ollie Sprague due to work commitments. Also Elliott Buchanan, who picked up a groin injury at Dorchester, will play no part in the game tomorrow.
Whilst Charlie Smith was named as a sub against Dorchester, he was not fit enough to play due to a realignment of his pelvis that day. However, following a few days rest he will have recovered to become an option for us again.
We will also welcome Oscar Lacey back to the 16 after missing out for the last two games.
We hope that with the incentive of a free drink provided by the club, that we might get a few extra faces in the crowd tomorrow, and we would welcome anyone through the gate in our quest to make it 13 points from 15."
