Beaconsfield Town FC Appoint New Manager

Former Egham Town manager Gary Meakin has today been appointed as the new 1st team manager at Beaconsfield Town, replacing joint managers Andy Hurley and Leigh Wooldridge, who both stepped down from their roles at the end of last season. Gary will assume his role immediately and will start assembling the squad for the new season which starts in August.

The new manager said, “I am thrilled to be joining such an ambitious club, and can’t wait to get started. There are very few good jobs available at this level, and this is definitely one of the best.I know the club’s new board is ambitious and community orientated and I am very pleased to be part of that.” Chairman Chris Coyle added, “We were extremely impressed with the number of applications we had, and it was quite difficult to whittle down to a manageable number of interviews, such was the calibre of those we shortlisted. However we believe Gary’s considerable experience in non-league football will enable the club to progress in line with our objectives and I want to thank Egham Town for their courtesy.”
