SYCOB got back to winning ways with a first half demolition of struggling North Greenford United. Some great passages of football coupled with some dodgy goalkeeping saw The Rams race into a four goal lead and effectively rule the game won by half time.

Beaconsfield took the lead within thirty seconds as Nathan Webb chased down a back pass and the ball fell invitingly to Tom O'Regan who curled a stunner into the top corner. He nearly had a second three minutes later as he twisted and turned his way through the Greenford defence. That time it came to nothing but sixty seconds later another O'Regan run saw a pull back for John Christian to force the ball home. Five minutes played, 2-0 to The Rams.

Zak Joseph should have scored when put through in the seventh minute but on ten minutes SYCOB did chalk up a third when a speculative shot by O'Regan slipped through the arms of North Greenford stopper Simeon Charles. Mr.Charles day did not get any better as on 34 minutes a miss-hit free kick by Shaun Owens was totally misjudged by the former SYCOB stopper and nestled in the net to give the first goal in a Rams shirt for young Shaun.

The second period saw SYCOB continue to prise open the Greenford defence and Jack Hutchinson and Zak Joseph should have extended The Rams lead. To their credit North Greenford didn't capitulate and did get into the game, their fiery captain Danny Bennell using every bit of his experience to encourage and lead his team. His commitment was more then met by SYCOB Man Of The Match Nathan Webb who, in the last few matches, really has started to up his game and he is just one of at least half a dozen Rams players who could easily shine at a higher level.

Hopefully that higher level will be with The Rams as this result took them up to fourth place. With Rugby seemingly running away with the league The Rams are one of at least eight teams in with a decent shout of earning a Play Off place. March sees them having to play eight league games, five of which are away from Holloways Park. Hopefully this result will be the start of another long unbeaten run!
