Though the recent heavy downfalls have, err, “dampened” the summer for many people, it has been a Godsend for the Holloways Park pitch. Last season over 80 matches were played on it and that sure takes its toll. The short close season meant that work had to start on the pitch pretty much as soon as the last ball was kicked and thanks to the top men at Turf Tonic and our regular groundsmen Lewis and George (and of course that lovely rain!) the Beaconsfield pitch is looking great as the ‘then’ and ‘now’ pictures amply illustrate.
