Beaconsfield beaten 3-1 away to Hadley, despite a fighting effort.
After an opening half that belonged to Beaconsfield they took a 1-0 lead into the break, showing top of the league Hadley what they were capable of, creating several good chances from attacks down both wings. Beaconsfield limited Hadley to a couple of chances on the counter and defended well when needed before they took the lead through an excellent free kick, scored by the ever-impressive Josh Marcon.
Beaconsfield would have gone into the break feeling proud of a first half performance full of fight and determination topped off with a moment of quality.
The opening exchanges of the second half looked like it would be more of the same from Beaconsfield. However, Hadley grew into the game and started to show the quality that has taken them to the summit of the Southern league Central division. They found an equaliser, followed quickly by a second to take the lead and turn the game on its head in a matter of minutes as Beaconsfield looked stunned as to how quickly the game had changed.
As the game neared its conclusion, Hadley found another, with a fine header from a corner, to wrap the game up and see them claim the 3 points with a 3-1 win
Beaconsfield are now winless in 10 games, and face AFC Dunstable back at Holloways Park on Saturday, where they hope their luck will finally turn.
