This Saturday we welcome the players, officials and supporters of Plymouth Parkway FC for this Pitching In Southern League Premier South first homefixture. This is the first ever meeting between the two clubs, Plymouth having won promotion to the Premier Division South last season. They are tipped for more success this season so we know we will be in for a tough game.
The Rams started the season last week with a narrow defeat at Salisbury though how we lost remains a mystery. The fact that most people gave MOM to their goal-keeper probably tells the story as we created chance after chance only to be thwarted by a stunning performance by the Salisbury custodian.
The game saw Rams debuts for Sam Togwell, Kyel Reid, Louis Walsh and Eitel Goueth who all arrived in the summer. Adam Martin and Shaun McAuley are two other new recruits whilst keeper R’Avan Constable has made a welcome return and Mark Nisbet, Sean Fraser and Liam McDevitt have all signed permanently.
Saturday’s game will be preceded by a minutes applause in memory of our long serving Secretary Robin Woolman who died at the end of the last season.
As always your support for all teams wearing the colours of Beaconsfield Town is much appreciated.
Enjoy the game!
