NO JOY ON AWAY DAY FOR RAMS

LEIGHTON TOWN 1 BEACONSFIELD TOWN FC 0

Beaconsfield slumped to their third Evo Stik Southern Central Division defeat on the spin as they produced probably their poorest performance of the season against lowly Leighton Town who prior to this game hadn't won at home in the league.

The hosts started brightly with Jason Castello heading wide on 9 minutes and Craig Maisiri doing the same ten minutes later. The lively Maisiri also shot wide on 26 minutes and brought a good save out of Beaconsfield's fifth keeper of the season Jake Soutter on thirty three minutes. It was almost the stroke of half time before The Rams had an effort of note when Sam Deadfield had a good shot turned away by Aaron Bufton.

The Rams might have nicked a goal on 61 minutes when Deadfield put in a great cross that Jack Read failed to connect with by the smallest of margins. As it was, The Reds went up the other end and the prolific Ben Gallant scored from a half chance past Soutter.

Maisiri again went close on 67 minutes whilst two minutes later Beaconsfield's best chance of the game saw Trevor Mutero set up Ryan Debattista who's powerful header was well turned over by Bufton.
Alex Murray cleared off the line on 77 minutes whilst Soutter made good saves in the 78th and 88th minutes to keep the score down.

A poor day at the office for Beaconsfield indeed. With tough games coming up against St. Ives Town and Aylesbury they need to get firing on all cylinders again as losing is a habit they could well do without picking up.
