SYCOB returned to action after a ten day lay off but unfortunately also returned to losing ways as they let an eminently winnable game slip through their hands as once again they fluffed their lines in front of the opposition goal.
As early as the first minute Danilson Vincente had a good goal scoring opportunity but sliced his shot horribly wide. This was followed by 'close but no cigar' efforts by Aaron Couch and Lee Togwell before Barton started to come into the game and both Paul Andrews, in the 15th minute, and Kevin Kilroy in the 20th hit The Rams bar after well taken corners. Ben Sawyer and Connor Vincent also went close for the home team before, in the final minute of the first period, both Danilson and Ashley Kelynack missed very good chances to put The Rams ahead.
The second half saw a more up tempo performance by Barton and SYCOB were indebted to a couple of good saves by keeper Sam Bunting to keep them in it. However a goal for Rovers seemed inevitable and it came on 73 mins when a free kick was missed by the entire Rams defence and fell kindly to Connor Vincent to tuck away.
With SYCOB showing absolutely no sign of scoring an equaliser it was left to Barton to improve their Goals For column and on 83 minutes the lively Keshi Anderson made the most of Beaconsfield's failure to clear their lines. The same player netted a third goal in time added on after Bunting had made a brilliant save but as The Rams defence stood static Anderson nipped in to blast the loose ball home.
Special mention must go to Rams skipper Lee Togwell who having sustained a bad head cut towards the end of the first half still battled right up until the end and was by far the best SYCOB player on the pitch.
