Beaconsfield and Barton played out an even if relatively uneventful match at a soggy Holloways Park, a draw probably the right result for both teams.

Omari Patrick had a mazy run on seven minutes but shot just over whilst the tricky Jason Blacket brought out a good save from Brendan Hazlett on twenty three minutes. Barton's Russell Bull was also unlucky with an effort on 31 minutes whilst Callum Bunting probably should have done better on 43 minutes when forcing Kyle Forster into a good save.

The Rams made the breakthrough on 58 minutes as Omari Patrick pounced on a loose ball and ran onto calmly slot past Forster. Both teams then had patchy periods of possession before the outstanding Lee Togwell went close with an effort on 76 minutes.

Barton got their equalizer on 80 minutes when a Beaconsfield attack broke down and the lively Jordan Davies ran almost half the length of the pitch to set up Blackett for a tap in.

Both sides then survived late scares - Beaconsfield on 83 minutes when the ball was hacked off the goal line and Barton on 90 minutes when a great strike by Sam Deadfield was met by an equally great save by Forster.

In the end a draw was probably a fair result and means The Rams unbeaten league run stretches to six matches which is a good boost to their confidence as they face tricky away games at Kings Langley and Ware in the next seven days.
