Child Welfare Overview

Beaconsfield Town Youth Football Club acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the
welfare of every child and young person and is committed to providing a safe environment for all. We are therefore pleased to publish our policies and procedures to which all of our coaches and parents are bound, and these are laid out here on this page.

We also include on this page various guidance documents from The FA and would urge all players, parents, and carers to read and understand each one. Contact details for key child welfare individuals at the club are included in the policy documents and are also listed here:

 

Club Welfare Officer - Sarah Richardson

Sarah is the focal point for coaches and parents to raise any child welfare concerns. The CWO will then work with the appropriate people to respond. Sarah also monitors behaviour and ensure it is consistent with the FA Grassroots Code.

Assistant Child Welfare Officer - Clare O'Farrell

Clare is responsible for managing all DBS checks and compliance to Safeguarding training.

Child Welfare Officer(s) Responsibilites:

Communicating BTYFC's responsibilities when running activities for children and young people.

To help club personnel understand their duty of care towards children and young people.

Ensuring responsibilities are understood by Coaches and parents.

Policies and Grassroots Codes are developed and in place. Everyone understands how to report a concern about the welfare of a child.

Promoting The FA’s Respect Programme & Grassroots Code.
